Speaker’s Research Interests: Dr. Marina Serper's research group focuses on improving health outcomes for individuals living with chronic liver disease, including cirrhosis, and for liver transplant recipients and their care partners. The team investigates barriers to accessing high-quality care and develops behavioral, digital health, and health system interventions to improve care delivery and patient outcomes. Their research also examines the effects of health literacy, cognitive function, and medication understanding on self-management, treatment adherence, and health outcomes.
