Title: Lipotoxic Endotheliopathy in MASH: Mechanistic Insights and Therapeutic Opportunities
Speaker’s Research Interests: Dr. Ibrahim’s research focuses on uncovering the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive metabolic dysfunction–associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Her work places particular emphasis on lipotoxicity induced liver injury, inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, and mitochondrial stress. Her laboratory increasingly integrates advanced human model systems with innovative methodologies, including cutting edge lipid nanoparticle (LNP)–based RNA delivery platforms, to precisely modulate key pathogenic pathways. These approaches enable detailed investigation of stress kinase signaling, ferroptosis mediators, and immune cell–LSEC crosstalk, ultimately advancing the discovery of mechanism based therapeutic targets for MASH.
